Renolit Persia Sand Swimming Pool Refurbishment, Ronda, Malaga

This beautiful pool has been renovated using the technically advanced reinforced pool membrane from Renolit. The finish chosen is from the Renolit AlkorPlan 3000 range, Colour Persia Sand.

The choice of a sand coloured liner here was perfect. The sandy tones perfectly compliment the surroundings, yet give an inviting turquoise coloured water.

This pool needed refurbishment badly. The basic structure was originally a water deposit for the farm land around. In the late 60’s it was first converted into a swimming pool and some of the surrounding structure was built.

Later on the swimming pool was rendered, the surround added and then the pool was painted blue. This pool started to leak, so more concrete was added and the pool was tiled. This was estimated to have been done in the early 80’s. At this time the rest of the courtyard was built.

The pool suffered from leaks from the structure and leaks from the pipes. There were various repairs done, but nothing permanent.

We installed the Renolit AlkorPlan liner, to both renovate and stop the pool leaking. We installed new pipe work for the jets, hidden inside the structure of the pool.

The final touch was to add 2 LED par56 pool lights. The effect at night is amazing.

Swimming Pool Refurbishment, Puerto Serrano, Cadiz

Puerto Serrano is a small village situated Northwest of Ronda, between Arcos de la Frontera and Moron de la Frontera. Although in Cadiz, it is very close to the borders of Malaga and Sevilla provinces in Andalucia.

This swimming pool started life as a water deposit, but had several refurbishments and modifications throughout its life.

Originally the water deposit was painted and much shallower. The walls of the pool were built up and skimmers and jets were added to allow the water to be filtered and be used as a swimming pool.

Around 8 years ago, the pool was tiled and the new capping stones fitted, as can be seen in the pictures. We were called in to carry out the final refurbishment, as the tiles were starting to fall off and the owners were worried about the possibility of future leaks because of previous structural works.

The pool has been lined using Renolit AlkorPlan 3000 reinforced membrane, with matching non slip steps in colour Persia Blue.

Cracked pool repair and renovation, Tolox, Málaga.

Tolox is a small village near to Alozaina, Coin, Guaro and Monda. It is situated on the road from Coin to Ronda.

This pool had suffered structural cracking due to the poor construction initially and the ground moving. Part of the pool and had been built on an excavated area and part built on spoil.

The pool cracked both sides “breaking its back”. This caused huge water leaks. The previous owners of the house had attempted to repair the cracks, but this was not successful, as you can see from the photos, it also looked awful.

One of the other problems caused by the ground moving was that it broke the pipes from one of the skimmers and the hoover socket. In order to leave the pool as trouble free as possible, we have removed these. They were not really needed and were 2 points that the pool could leak from, as the ground at that side of the pool is moving.

Another pipe we had to repair was the pipe for the main drain. The pipe was not leaking but had been chlorine damaged. This is not common in drain pipes of swimming pools, but in this case it was because the pool had to be over-chlorinated as it was leaking and then the pool could only circulate the water using the drain, as one of the skimmer pipes was leaking. The chlorine damage had caused the pipe to become very brittle.

The pool has been lined and waterproofed using Renolit AlkorPlan 3000 Persia Blue. This will guarantee that the structure is leak free.

This pool also benefits from the installation of a salt chlorination system, to give softer, sparkling water and lower maintenance. The salt water is kinder on the skin in comparison to regular chlorine.

This was a total renovation of a swimming pool in a hotel in Ronda. A stunning hotel in the old town of Ronda. The hotel is in a converted church, which has been beautifully renovated. This swimming pool was leaking into the basement below, preventing the hotel from being issued its license. The architect, Sergio Valadez, specified our liner to ensure the optimum waterproofing.

We are able to give full technical specifications for architects, or planning purposes.

The pool was leaking throughout the structure, as it had been built from blocks, with insufficient reinforcing. As the structure moved with the changes in temperature, it caused the pool to leak.

This pool is lined with “Persia Sand”, for the steps and the overflow, we used “Touch Sand”, a textured liner that emulates natural stone. The colour of the liner works so well with the style and colours of the building and surroundings.
