This swimming pool was built in 1959. The house was purchased by the current owners parents in 1979, after they moved to the Costa del Sol for work.

The pool had been leaking progressively worse over the last 15 years. Some remedial work was done to repair cracks inside the pool, typical repairs to the plumbing were made and pipes were changed outside the pool.

Once we started work, we discovered that the sections of pipe in the walls of the pool were still iron pipes, as the original build predates PVC plumbing. The extent of the cracks was worse than first realised, with cracks in all the walls.

It was necessary to fill the channel at the top of the pool wall, install new sections of pipe to replace the iron and install a skimmer.
