Complete Swimming Pool Renovation, Nueva Andalucia, Marbella, Spain
A total reformation project of a 40 year old swimming pool in the prestigious area Nueva Andalucia, in Marbella. The pool is in generally sound, the only problem being that the pool had dropped at one corner, which is quite common.
The swimming pool was of concrete construction, painted and then had a surround of red rustic tiles. As the villa is being modernised, all of the tones of interior and exterior finishes are grey. In keeping with this theme, the finish inside the pool is RENOILT ALKORPLAN CERAMICS – SELENE. For the exterior of the pool, a complimentary grey “marmolina” surround was chosen.
The Renolit CERAMICS range has the look and texture of mosaic tiles, whilst feeling soft under foot, with no problems of tiles falling off or stained grout lines. It is guaranteed waterproof.
The pool was made level again whilst the new surround was being installed.
Marmolina is a decorative poured concrete, which adapts to all shapes and sizes.
We built steps inside the pool, to do away with the old metal ladder.
For the installation of the reinforced swimming pool liner, the first step is to change the lights, jets, drain etc to be compatible with the liner.
The liner material is cut and welded onsite, forming to the shape of the pool. It is ideal for applying over painted finishes, where tiles would not stick.
