Holiday rentals are a business and if something goes wrong with the pool, it needs to be repaired as quickly as possible to avoid downtime and loss of revenue.

Maintenance and renovation works should be planned to be carried out as soon as the pool is no longer being used. In this situation, the pool had a slow leak through a horizontal crack where the terrace had been raised, you can see the roots from the trees growing through it.

Suddenly the pool started to loose a lot of water, as the skimmer pipe broke in the ground. Something needed to be done quickly, as the villa is rented virtually all year round. The opportunity was taken to repair the leak and renovate the pool in one process.

The work here took 4 days from start to being refilled. We broke out the skimmers from inside of the pool structure and raised them, avoiding disturbing the artificial grass and terrace. We channelled new pipes in the wall and passed them through to the pump house on the other side of the wall. This type of repair is only possible with Renolit Alkorplans reinforced membrane system.

The installation of the reinforced membrane ensures that the structure of the pool is waterproof, so the horizontal crack in the pool structure was also dealt with.

The final result is a newly renovated, beautiful, leak free pool, in just 4 days.
