Roof top swimming pool repair, Cabopino (Calahonda), Mijas

Another example of the renovation of a rooftop pool. Rooftop swimming pools are normally no bigger than 5m long and are often prefabricated fibreglass structures. After some time, these types of swimming pools become tired looking. This one is now over 20 years old.

The options are limited for the renovation of a rooftop swimming pool. The fibreglass surface can’t be painted as the paint won’t stick.

The pool can’t be tiled, as the fibreglass is flexible.

The pool can be fibreglassed and recoated, but this has to be done by hand with brushes and rollers, so the finish is less than perfect. The process is quite messy and requires several days of drying time before it can be refilled.

The installation of a Renolit AlkorPlan reinforced liner is the perfect solution. It leaves the pool looking like new. We have a wide range of finishes, from the standard AlkorPlan 2000 and 3000 ranges (pictured Persia Blue, AlkorPlan 3000) to the new CERAMICS which feels like tiles and TOUCH which emulates natural stone. We have something for every taste and style.

We eliminated any unused inlets for a cleaner finish. We fitted a solar pool light, as this requires no drilling or passing of cables.

We are sure that the owner will be very happy when she sees her new pool.
