This is an old cortijo that has been turned into a stunning venue for weddings and other celebrations. The original buildings were built in the 1800’s. The current owner took the property over in the early 1980’s.

Rancho del Ingles is in Alhaurin de la Torre, in the countryside near to Cartama and Churriana. The swimming pool was probably the original water deposit for the farm and would have been converted into a swimming pool sometimes in the 60’s or 70’s, as the area became more residential. The history of it other than that is not really known.

The swimming pool was leaking as it had cracked vertically, some people would refer to this as breaking its back. The cause of this is probably because of ground movement. It has been a problem and a few attempts were made to fix the crack, but this hasn’t been successful.

The installation of the reinforced Renolit AlkorPlan membrane ensures that a leaking pool structure is a distant memory. The quality and strength of the pool liner guarantees against leaks and also provides a quick way to achieve stunning results. This is particularly important where the swimming pool is used on a commercial level.

In this pool we used the fantastic Persia Sand from the Renolit AlkorPlan 3000 range. It gives the water a lovely turquoise colour, even though the material is a sandy colour. We think it really compliments a rustic type villa.

To add a final touch, we installed LED lights, to reduce running costs. They are 22w opposed to 300w.
