The installation of a Renolit AlkorPlan reinforced liner is the most sensible and most economical way of repairing a leaking pool structure. Once the structure of a pool has failed and there are cracks in it, the options for repair are quite limited and the results not always certain.

Approaches to swimming pool crack repair differ, but there are really only 2 methods, but they are rarely successful, one method is to staple the cracks with either steel or carbonfibre staples which are designed to hold the concrete together. The second method is to inject the crack with epoxy resin. These are supposed to be able to hold the concrete together, but with the forces involved and the way the ground moves, they rarely, if ever work for more than a few months.

For the repair of this pool, the best solution was to install the Renolit AlkorPlan reinforced swimming pool membrane. The membrane remains permanently flexible and with its reinforcement, will not rip or tear.

The installation takes a team around 20 hours. The first step is to change the fittings in the pool to be compatible with the Renolit liner system. After this, the top profile is put into place, then the welding of the liner can begin. The sheets of material are welded together with hot air.
