The requirements of commercial pools require the best products. This pool was suffering from problems with tiles coming off and generally looking in very bad condition.

The tiles had been repaired several times and the pool regrouted, but this did not solve the problem. The community wanted a more permanent solution, as repairing the gresite again was not something that they wanted to do. They had looked at other solutions such as fibreglass, but fiberglass (polyester resin and chopped glass matt finished with gelcoat) did not give the type of finish or guarantee of durability required.

The first stage of the installation is to change the fittings for swimming pool liner compatible units. It is important to use the correct ones to avoid leaks. The lights have been changed for par 56 LED units, reducing running costs and maintenance, which is important for urbanizacion or community swimming pools that get heavy use.

After this, the walls were smoothed over with any missing tiles being replaced and a geotextile membrane was put on the floor. The Renolit xtreme membrane is then installed. The membrane is fused together using hot air welding.
