This cracked pool in Nueva Andalucia, Marbella, was very very poorly built, we were surprised that it held water at all.

The swimming pool had been built using concrete mixed by hand for the floor, with insufficient reinforcing. The norm would be to use concrete from a truck that has guaranteed strength and quality, when combined with the correct specification of steel. To make things worse in this case, the walls of the pool were built from blocks and again no steel.

This pool in Nueva Andalucia, Marbella cracked more or less as soon as the water was put into it.

In the video, you can see that all the fittings, such as the skimmer, drain, jets etc have all been broken out and replaced with liner compatible units.

The Renolit AlkorPlan liner is then welded into place ensuring that the pool is completely water tight, even though the structure of the swimming pool is badly cracked and leaking water.

The AlkorPlan reinforced membrane is so thick, that it is no problem to put it on over tiles, painted surfaces and even wooden panels.

In other galleries, you can see the photos of the beautiful turquoise colour that the water turns when the pool is full.
